The Data Foundations Lab Southeast Asia & India Programme is designed to support 20 local publishers in Southeast Asia and India who are at the beginning of their digital reader revenue or data journey.
A two-month virtual programme designed to demystify data for decision-makers, and give them the confidence to understand and use data to drive their digital growth.
The Google News Initiative has partnered with FT Strategies to deliver the Data Foundations Lab Southeast Asia and India programme.
What is the outcome?
- Make sense of the data all around us, leverage what is already gathered, and learn how to extract information from qualitative and quantitative data.
- Translate data into action using the core principles of data collection and usage. Publishers will learn about methods and tools to propel their digital journey to the next level.
- Build a deeper understanding of the key metrics used by the industry and within the FT. The programme will share the metrics and how they are used.
- Develop skills to implement a data culture within your organisation, and learn about best-case examples from the industry to ensure long-term, sustainable internal habits.
- An alumni community of engaged publishers enjoying greater market intelligence.
- A network of peers and experts for support beyond the programme.
Eligibility Criteria
Participating Publishers should:
- Be located in one of the following countries: Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam.
- Is at the beginning of its data journey.
- Has an online presence with at least 250k monthly unique visitors.
- Does not have a reader revenue model or has implemented a reader revenue model in the last 12 months.
- Has an organizational headcount of at least 10 people.
