Deadline: 15 November 2023
The European Journalistic Network n-ost (Berlin), the Lviv Media Forum (Lviv) and the Institute of Mass Information (Kyiv) are inviting regional online media from all over Ukraine to participate in the long-term Fight for Facts project.
The goal of the project is to comprehensively support editorial offices in the fight against disinformation and propaganda, as well as to strengthen their capacity.
Events and Trainings
- The program will include events and trainings on a variety of topics — from creating quality content and promoting it to publishing management and financial independence, namely:
- trainings on countering disinformation and propaganda, fact-checking and investigations;
- practical workshops in Lviv, in particular on management and financial literacy for the media;
- offline schools, where journalists from regional media will work on materials under the mentorship of editors from national publications;
- mini-grants for the creation and promotion of materials;
- individual consultations;
- webinars on journalistic standards and editorial policies, as well as others – at the choice of participants;
- English language courses for journalists.
Duration
- The project will last from December 2023 to April 2027.
What are they looking for?
- They are looking for 16 newsrooms that have already proven themselves as quality media in their regions and see participation in the project as an investment in their own development.
- They expect that teams, including editors, managers and financial directors, will participate in the project, rather than individual journalists.
