Deadline: 14 October 2024
The Netherlands Film Fund is providing funding for the production of a (majority) Dutch short or long film that is investigative and/or groundbreaking within the various genres, or an experimental or artistic film.
The film in question must contribute to the creative and technical innovation of cinematography. The Fund gives priority to high-quality, diverse and daring offerings in its selection.
Funding Information
- From €50,000 to a maximum of €100,000. For projects of exceptionally high quality, the board may decide to grant a higher contribution.
- The Fund contribution amounts to a maximum of 85% of the production budget. It is possible to apply for an earmarked additional contribution of €5,000 for distribution.
Who is eligible?
- A production company (a legal entity, not a sole proprietorship or general partnership) that has been established for at least two years in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a member state of the EU, EEA or Switzerland and that produces and exploits films and other audiovisual productions on a continuous basis.
- The production company is represented by a producer who, as majority producer, has been primarily responsible for the realisation and release of at least one free, non-commissioned film production in the Netherlands.
- The producer representing the production company is not the director or screenwriter of the film.
- Exception:
- If the intended Film Fund contribution for realisation is less than €50,000, the requirement that the applicant must be a production company may be deviated from, provided that the board is of the opinion that the applicant has sufficient demonstrable production experience in the field of research & experimentation.
