Dutch feature films, long animated films and documentaries (majority film productions and minority co-productions) that have been selectively supported by the Fund in their realisation may be eligible for a contribution towards the costs of prints & advertising for the cinema release in the Netherlands, or in exceptional cases the non-theatrical release.
Funding Information
- Majority feature film, long animated film or documentary with a budget for prints & advertising up to €60,000:
- Max. €30,000
- Majority children’s or youth film with a budget for prints & advertising up to €60,000:
- Max. €40,000
- Majority feature film, long animated film, children’s or youth film or documentary with a budget for prints & advertising of €60,000 or more:
- Max. €75,000
- Minority co-production that is selectively supported in its realization:
- Max. €15,000
- Short film (shown as a prelude to a main film) with a theatrical release:
- This amount is determined in consultation with the Film Fund.
Eligibility Criteria
- A film distributor from the Kingdom of the Netherlands who has continuously released films in Dutch cinemas and movie theaters for at least two years prior to the application.
- As an exception to this, and after consultation with the Film Fund: a production company in collaboration with a film marketing or publicity agency or film distributor, provided that the cinema release and non-theatrical release are demonstrably guaranteed.
